       With the investment direction of optical communication from main line of communication, MAN, LAN, private network etc to FTTP, FTTH, the core optical device of FTTH -- Optical Fiber Splitter, the spring of the market is coming, the market demand increasing incessantly, and the market is confirmed well by the all optical device factory at home and abroad. At present, there have two types of optical fiber splitter can satisfy the demand of optical splitting: one is Fused Fiber Splitter produced in traditional tapered coupler technology by traditional optical passive component factory; another is PLC Splitter based on optical integrated technology. These two devices each has advantages, user can select the two types of optical splitter according to the difference of usage occasion and demand.

      Planar optical waveguide technology is use semiconductor process to produce optical waveguide branching device, the function of splitting is completed on the chip, it can realized up to more than 1X32 branches on one chip, then, separately coupling package multi-channel optical fiber array of input end and output end at the two ends of chip.
